A. Andrew Gonzalez Sublimatrix Course: Study with a True master.

 

In this workhop the renowned Visionary Artist Andrew Gonzalez will teach you his unique substractive airbrushing method. You will have the oppurtunity to study directly with this airbrusmaster and not only learn to airbrush, but share in the rich spiritual domain that is the muse of his work.

 

- No previous art experience is required ­ both beginners and advanced students are welcome!

 

- Translation to Dutch is possible (vertaling naar nederlands is mogelijk)

 

 

 


For Beginning airbrush students:

Have the oppurtunity to start your airbrush education under the guidance of a true master. The focus of your work will lie in the creation of a luminous mandala or a free work.

 


In participating you will be guided to:
– Work with the airbrush: basic techniques and manipulation of the medium.
– Start working with form and light by learning Andrews unique subtractive airbrush method

- Explore the rich inner dimensions through the guided meditation session in the morning and find your own inspiration for a mandala.
- Learn creating 'light' in this world by merging spiritual experience with the act of creating art.

 

 


For Advanced airbrush students

(people who have at least attended a basic airbrush course)

 

Andrew will help you to take your own work to a new level.

Topics you can choose from are portraits, power animals, spiritguides or something else you really want to create.

 

As an advanced student, you will:

– get new levels of controling form and light by learning Andrews unique subtractive airbrush method

- get the chance to look over the shoulder of a master-airbrusher who will share his tips and tricks and shorten your learning curve.

- be guided to create your own depition of a power-animal.

- Explore the rich inner dimensions through the guided meditation morning sessions and find your own inspiration for your artwork.

- deepen your artistic path by deepening its connection with your innate spirituality.

 

 



PRACTICAL INFO

 

- Since the number of students is limited to 10 and studying with Andrew in Europe has always been a rare oppurtunity, you are adviced to sign up quickly. The last 2 years workshops were fully booked.

- All materials will be included. Optional: bring your own airbrush pistol if you wish.

- Advanced students come with their design for a power animal painting (A3 format)

- Workshop days are at the artstudio of the Anam Cara centre and are from 10 to 18hrs.

- Each workshop day will start with a guided meditation, to access more creativity.

- People that come from afar can receive shared lodging at the centre. (contact below)

 

 

 

 

A. Andrew Gonzalez is an internationally reknowned figurative visionary artist. His work can be found in museums, galleries and collections worldwide, both public and private.

He's known for the unique sculptural look of his paintings, as well as their power to move and inspire the viewer. Painting is typically an additive process, in which layer after layer builds an image. Gonzalez turns this truism on its head with a process developed through years of trial and error. His technique involves a gesso-like surface, transparent paints and an array of erasers. He has been teaching his unique painting technique for six years, most recently at the Visionary Art Academy in Vienna, Austria.

The artist describes his style as “a revival of the Pre-Raphaelite aesthetic" and “mystical love poems to the soul”. His focus is on the figure as both temple and vessel, sublimed by transformative forces. He captures his subjects suspended in an ecstatic moment; poised on the threshold of a new birth.
